Art that Uplifts. Community that Unites. A Movement by the People, for the People.

United Juntos started as one idea, one grant, and one big leap.

Our nonprofit was born out of the success of an incredible pop-up project funded by the City of Dallas through the ArtsActivate program. That first event brought together over 300 families, artists, and neighbors to create artwork side by side β€” in public, with purpose, and in community. The experience became the blueprint for everything we hope to do moving forward. It revealed just how deeply people are craving connection, joy, and belonging β€” and how art can offer all three. Inspired by that day, we created this nonprofit to keep that spirit alive and growing.

That day changed me.

What began as a one-time project became a calling. I took the name United Juntos and built it into a nonprofit dedicated to bringing people together through participatory art. Today, we support artists in designing community-driven events that are free, accessible, and rooted in the neighborhoods they serve. Because when people make something together β€” no matter their language, age, or background β€” they start to see each other differently. They start to see what’s possible.

And that’s what we’re here to build: a more united city, one brushstroke at a time.

What we do:

🎨 Art-Led Events – We host creative experiences where anyone can make and feel seen.

People gathered at an expo booth for Amigos Bachman Lake, promoting outdoor activities at Bachman Lake, with a woman in a white shirt talking to visitors, and a man sitting beside her. There are posters, water bottles, and brochures on the table.

🧩 Community Resource Connections – We bring together partners offering health resources, youth programs, and local services β€” all free and open to everyone.

This Isn’t Just Art β€” It’s Healing, Belonging, and Joy.”

In underserved communities, art is often an afterthought. We believe it should be the starting point.

Our programs create space for people to express themselves, tell their stories, and build pride in where they live β€” together.
